This is a bit far from Chiang Mai, but I really want to do it.
Located 2 hours away from Chiang Mai, there are nice things to see in this national park:
The best thing would be to have a motorbike and get up the hills to go to the highest point of Thailand and see the landscape. The gardens and temples are very beautiful as you can judge on this picture:
This will take me a full day and a night as it is possible to do some trekking in the jungle and visit different local villages where some tribes live.
I think it might be interesting to meet people from the Karen tribe. Indeed, it is interesting to see the girafe women that put some rings around their neck to make it longer and longer:
I will also refresh in some amazing waterfalls in the park such as the Mae Ya waterfall which is quite famous as it is the largest of the country with its 280 meters high:
